Paramount’s newest blockbuster, Last King of the Cross, is based on John Ibrahim’s memoir and stars Tim Roth as a crime boss. Set in Sydney’s ‘mecca of sin’ – Kings Cross in the ’80s – production company Helium was tasked with recreating these mean streets as they were, bristling with strip joints and sex shops, coke dealers, bikies and brutality.
Enter Sam Hobbs and Alien Proof Construction, the dream team who built the strip from the gutter up, complete with aged gum blistering the pavements and headache inducing glitching neon.
An epic build within a hectic schedule, this project is one Alien Proof is insanely proud of, requiring many, many talented hands over countless weeks.

Last King of the Cross is streaming on Paramount+ Australia.
